I can’t believe I took a two-month hiatus from this space. Just kidding! I can totally believe it. Every time life gets busy I tell myself I’m not going to put blogging on the back burner. Sadly, I end up doing just that. Instagram is usually my go to in the middle of my more chaotic weeks, and probably the best place to look if you want to follow along on some of my day-to-day thoughts/ activities.
I spent the last six weeks of my life in a 6th grade classroom completing my second practicum. Boy was it a totally different experience compared to my first one! I beam with happiness when I think of my associate teacher who made the absolute perfect mentor. I’ll always be grateful for genuinely kind people who treat others with the utmost respect. I felt safe and important during my practicum, something I hardly felt during my first one. I’ll be sure to share some more details of my experience this time around, and how different it was working with junior level students.
So… up next in terms of schooling for me is a third semester entirely online (yikes!). If you’re anyone like me who believes in “outta sight outta mind”, you know very well that online classes are the bane of our existence. For the past couple of months, I have religiously been using a free printable calendar made by Kate from Small Paper Things. It is no surprise that you will be able to find a ton of free printable calendars. But, I can assure you that you won’t be able to find one as minimalistic and chic as the ones Kate has created (trust me, I've looked!). I’ve linked her blog post here, where you will be able to download both her 2016 printable calendars as well as her weekly planners. I love sharing resources I have found useful in my own personal life. So, I hope this finds you all well. Happy planning everyone!
These pens are the Paper Mate 'Flair' for all you stationary nerds out there! I've linked the 12-pack here.
Till next time,
As a newly graduated teacher from Toronto Ontario, I use this little space of mine to share all my loves + passions. Teaching, style, love, and gratitude are some of the things that encompass this space. Sit down, stay a while. I hope we can be friends.
