Jay and I attended our very first wedding together, and our hearts are so full. I told myself I wouldn't cry, and two seconds into the ceremony my mascara was running down my cheeks. I love, love. H&J, what a beautiful ceremony it was!
When Jay & I were looking for wedding outfits, our priority was quality and affordability. Since J wears suits to work everyday, he was due for a new one. He didn't want to spend too much on it, knowing he'd be adding this one to his work wardrobe. I didn't want to spend too much knowing I'd only wear the dress two or three times (for a wedding) before wanting to buy a new one! Note: You can totally add a boyfriend blazer to a dress like this for a more office appropriate look.
Since prom season was/is in full effect, it was hard finding a dress that wasn't too much. We went to a number of different stores before hitting the jackpot at Winners®! Jay's two-piece suit was only $99 (we got lucky, but we did notice that Marshalls had more sizes and styles to choose from). His dress shoes were also from Winners®; I've linked a similar Steve Madden option below. I promise you, this is NOT a sponsored post!
My dress ($39) from the Pink Martini Collection was also a Winners® find! I was over the moon when I found out that Pink Martini is actually based out of Toronto! Yay for Canadian brands! Just a few minutes on their site and I already know what I wanna wear for my commencement. For more vintage-inspired looks from Pink Martini, check out their IG feed, here. Their beige dress paired perfectly with my St Mawes from Daniel Wellington.
Although my dress was probably from Pink Martini's older season, I find that to be the best part of shopping at Winners® - stumbling upon all sorts of collections that are no longer in stock.
[Disclaimer: This is not a sponsored post. We love Winners® and think it's a great place to shop no matter the occasion!]
